I’m not running to make speeches. I’m running to solve problems.
Chicago’s water systems are the backbone of our region—and they’re under pressure. Flooding is getting worse. Pollution threats are evolving. Too often, the communities hit hardest are the last in line for help. That’s why I’m stepping up.
I’ve spent my career connecting science, strategy, and community—to protect clean water, support union jobs, and build real climate resilience. I know how the system works, where it breaks down, and how to fix it.
This platform isn’t about promises. It’s a blueprint for action.
Let’s get to work.
Defend Our Water. Secure Our Future.
I’m running to protect our water, stop flooding, and build a future that works for everyone—with clean water, good jobs, and real climate action led by Chicago.
Protect Clean Water and Public Health
I’ll fight to keep our water clean—no matter what happens in Washington. That means defending Lake Michigan, our rivers, and the systems we rely on. We’ll move fast on threats like PFAS and microplastics—with science, urgency, and transparency.
Build Climate Resilience and Stop Flooding
Flooding shouldn’t be normal. I’ll push for green infrastructure—like rain gardens, bioswales, and permeable alleys—and upgrade stormwater systems to handle bigger storms. Every neighborhood should be protected, not just the well-connected.
Fight for Environmental Justice
Communities hit hardest by flooding and neglect must come first. I’ll expand community engagement and training to put local residents—especially from frontline areas—at the center of the solution.
Back Labor and Build the Workforce
Every MWRD project should mean good union jobs. I’ll keep working with labor to support safety, fairness, and career paths in the green economy—especially for the next generation.
Lead with Innovation and Community Input
People deserve to know what’s being built—and why it matters. I’ll launch tools like flood dashboards and “What’s In It For Me?” maps and invite the public into the process with design labs and hands-on problem solving.
Protect Local Dollars and Deliver Results
Federal funding comes and goes. I’ll make sure local, state, and grant dollars stretch further—and stay focused on impact. We’ll keep the books tight and show how we’re making life better, not just filing reports.
Make Chicago a Climate Leader
Chicago can lead the nation. I’ll help MWRD become a national model—linking our work to Great Lakes protection, Mississippi River resilience, and global climate goals. And I’ll share what works, so others can build on our success.
